A New Chapter Begins: Introducing Pellar II & Pulsus II

Some products earn their place by standing the test of time.

When we launched the original Pulsus in 2010 and the Pellar in 2012, we knew they offered something special. What we couldn't have predicted was just how long they would remain benchmarks in their class. Over the years they've received outstanding reviews from the world's hi-fi press, won numerous awards, and, more importantly, become trusted companions to thousands of vinyl enthusiasts around the world.

So why replace them now?

Quite simply, because we never introduce a new product unless we can make a genuinely worthwhile improvement.

At AVID, we don't believe in annual model changes or cosmetic updates. If a product already performs exceptionally well, it stays in the range until advances in engineering allow us to produce something demonstrably better. After more than a decade of continued development, we've reached that point.

We're delighted to introduce the Pellar II and Pulsus II.

Building on everything that made their predecessors so highly regarded, both new phono stages benefit from significant advances in power supply technology, component selection and noise reduction. The result is lower background noise, greater dynamic expression, improved transparency and an even more natural, lifelike presentation that allows your records to reveal more of the music hidden within the grooves.

While the sound quality has moved forward considerably, the philosophy remains exactly the same: preserve every nuance of the original recording without adding anything of its own. The goal has always been simple: bring you closer to the performance.

These exciting new models arrive shortly after the launch of our flagship Velsonic phono stage. Developed alongside it, many of the engineering principles and design lessons learned during the creation of our no-compromise reference model have cascaded into the Pellar II and Pulsus II, making them the most accomplished phono stages we've ever produced at their respective price points.

Designed and precision engineered in Britain, both models continue AVID's commitment to building products that are made to last for decades, not just product cycles.

We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved with Pellar II and Pulsus II and can't wait for you to hear the difference for yourself.
