beyerdynamic unveils new in-ear monitor series for stage and studio applications together with the Martin Miller Session Band beyerdynamic, January 22, 2025

At the NAMM Show 2025 in Anaheim, California, renowned audio technology manufacturer beyerdynamic will introduce a new series of in-ear monitors. Designed for specific applications such as mixing and critical listening, drum and bass, guitar and vocals, as well as classical and keyboard instruments, the four models set new standards in sound quality and comfort.

Advanced Technology and German Craftsmanship

The new in-ear monitors combine advanced technology with German craftsmanship. The dynamic TESLA.11 driver system delivers exceptional clarity, an extremely low distortion rate of just 0.02% at 1 kHz, and is among the loudest systems on the market with a maximum sound pressure level of up to 137 dB. The robust monitors are handcrafted at the company’s headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany.

Thanks to their compact design, ergonomic fit, and development based on hundreds of MRI ear moulds, the new in-ears provide a perfect fit and optimal sound isolation of up to -39 dB – ideal for use on loud stages and in demanding studio environments.

The four new models are aimed at professional musicians and sound engineers. With clear model names and application-optimized sound signatures, each user can find the perfect model to meet their needs.

The Models at a Glance:

• DT 70 IE – MIXING & CRITICAL LISTENING: Designed for mixing and critical listening. Ideal for live sound engineers, studio use, or as a compact monitor for on-the-go. Thanks to its balanced tuning, it is also suitable for high-quality music enjoyment.

• DT 71 IE – DRUM & BASS: Featuring a powerful bass foundation, recessed mids, and strong treble profile, this model is ideal for drummers and bass players.

• DT 72 IE – GUITAR & VOICE: Specially tailored to meet the needs of guitarists and vocalists. The sound profile offers a natural bass response and detailed highs. The upper midrange is slightly boosted to enhance the presence and clarity of guitar and vocals in the mix.

• DT 73 IE – CLASSIC INSTRUMENTS & KEYS: The ideal choice for pianists, keyboardists, and orchestral musicians. With a linear bass and midrange response between 20 Hz and 1 kHz, it delivers natural reproduction without altering the original signal. A subtle boost in the treble range above 5 kHz ensures precise overtones.

Master Studio, Stage and everything in between

The new in-ears were developed in collaboration with professional musicians and sound engineers. The result is four durable in-ear monitors that effortlessly handle the demanding live and studio routine.

The cable made of high-quality Kevlar is connected via a gold-plated MMCX connector system. Compared to 2-pin connectors, where the pins can bend or break, the MMCX system offers a more stable connection.

The DT 70 IE, DT 72 IE and DT 73 IE models are IP68 certified. This means that the models can withstand dust and a water depth of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The DT 71 IE meets protection class IP65 (dust and water-resistant).

Campaign with Martin Miller

A highlight of the product launch is the collaboration with the internationally acclaimed Martin Miller Session Band.

Martin Miller states: "beyerdynamic headphones have been a constant companion throughout my musical career. I use the DT series models especially in the studio. With the new in-ear series, I can now experience the same sound quality on stage."
