Primare Prisma June 2025 OTA Update Primare, June 13, 2025

We are pleased to announce that we will begin releasing an OTA update this Monday, 16 June, for stereo Prisma models, noting a similar OTA update for SPA25 Prisma and SP25 Prisma home cinema models will be released soon.

In addition to general bug fixes and functional improvements the update includes two new key features:

JPLAY, a thoroughly designed iOS music player app that combines Qobuz, TIDAL, and NAS content in a single interface, with a clean, intuitive design that makes it easy to manage your library and control playback with a wealth of information readily accessible - no core needed!

Thanks to extreme optimisations and native iOS programming, JPLAY guarantees exceptional speed and responsiveness, while minimising the network traffic between the app and the audio endpoint to the absolute minimum assuring the lowest possible network noise and, as a result, the best sound quality.

New control API via TCP/IP and RS232 for stereo models in advance of control driver certification - Control 4, Crestron, Nice/Elan.

Control 4 drivers specific for stereo models will be made available under the Support tab of the respective product page.

Drivers for SPA25 Prisma and SP25 Prisma can be used for Crestron and Nice/Elan systems by those with relevant experience.

Once certified, all drivers will be made available for download from the Support tab of each related product page.

This can cause the Prisma unit to automatically switch back to JPLAY playback due to its built-in Wake+Select and Auto Select functions. To prevent this from occurring, simply pause or stop playback in JPLAY before changing inputs or entering standby mode.
