Handbuilt in Denmark, the new Raidho X1.6 Reference brings Mundorf crossovercomponents, Nordost Valhalla technology cabling, in-house Raidho drivers andfloorstander-like bass authority to a compact high-end design.

The X1.6 Reference is not a small update. It is a significant step forward.
Built by hand in-house in Denmark, the new model takes the musical foundation of the X1.6and elevates it with technologies and craftsmanship normally reserved for far more ambitiousloudspeakers. At the heart of the upgrade is a completely handbuilt crossover usingMundorfcomponentsandNordost Valhalla technology cabling—not only inside the loudspeaker, but also within the crossover itself. This level of attention is extremely unusual in a compactloudspeaker, and rare even at significantly higher price points.

The result is a speaker that feels more open, more effortless and more emotionally direct.Music appears from a quieter background. Dynamics are more immediate. Details are notpushed forward, but revealed naturally. The X1.6 Reference is designed to disappear in theroom and leave only the performance behind.
“With the X1.6 Reference, we wanted to show how far a compact loudspeaker can betaken when nothing important is treated as ordinary,” saysMorten Kim Nielsen, CEO ofRaidho Acoustics. “The original X1.6 already had a very strong musical identity. But with thisReference version, the improvements are substantial. The crossover, the internal cabling, thepassive radiator and the in-house Raidho drivers all work together to create a speaker thatsounds much bigger and more complete than its size suggests.”
A Compact Speaker with Greater Scale and Bass Authority
One of the most important developments in the X1.6 Reference is therear-mounted passiveradiator, which gives the loudspeaker significantly greater bass power and physical presence. The result is a compact speaker with an authority that approaches the experience of a smallfloorstanding loudspeaker.

This additional low-frequency energy is not about exaggeration. It is about ease, balance andrealism. The X1.6 Reference delivers bass with more weight and freedom, allowing themidrange to breathe and the music to unfold with greater scale.
The speaker features Raidho’s ownribbon tweeter, known for its speed, openness and low-mass transparency, combined with a6.5-inch bass/midrange driver with aceramic/aluminium membrane. Both drivers are built in-house at Raidho’s Danish factory, giving the company full control over the most critical parts of the loudspeaker’s performance.
Handbuilt Danish Craftsmanship
Every X1.6 Reference is assembled by hand in Denmark. This is central to Raidho’sphilosophy: high-end loudspeakers are not simply products, but instruments for emotionalconnection.
The cabinet, crossover, drivers and internal wiring have all been considered as parts of onemusical system. Nothing has been chosen because it is easy. Everything has been chosenbecause it contributes to the final listening experience.
The visual expression follows the same Scandinavian approach: clean, precise andunderstated. The X1.6 Reference is designed to look calm in the room—and sound anythingbut ordinary.
New Raidho / Scansonic Stand Also Introduced
Alongside the X1.6 Reference, Raidho also introduces a new dedicated loudspeaker stand, available inblack or white.
The stand has been created to match the visual and mechanical needs of high-performancecompact speakers and is compatible withall Raidho and Scansonic compactloudspeakers. It gives the speaker a stable, elegant and purposeful foundation, while keepingthe design language clean and Scandinavian.
