TriStar is a 3-way, full range, corner horn loudspeaker system with integrated directional and time domain control. Made to order.

The intractable nature of the laws of physics dictate that the cosmetic design of full range horn loudspeakers can be a considerable challenge. For the sake of a pleasing aesthetic, or a domestically acceptable size, sacrifices are often made with regard to performance. Equally, if we are to enjoy all that horn systems have to offer, we must find a lot of space for some, well...er...'unconventionally attractive' hardware. For many, this means that the visceral thrill of listening to a full-range world-class horn system is sadly out of reach, and we reckon they're missing out. Big time.
Something definitely needs to be done...

Compact. It might seem counter intuitive, but the Vitavox TriStar takes up less space than many, much smaller loudspeaker units. Sited in the corner of the room, and taking up only around four square feet, it is considerably less intrusive than these more conventional solutions, which, whether stand-mount or floor-standing, must be placed a considerable distance from the wall to function correctly.
A Vitavox LGK151 15" bronze/alnico driver is front loaded by a folded exponential horn, which ingeniously utilises the architecture of the listening room to extend its effective length and produce a bass response fast, accurate and deep.
A T3 module is mounted above the bass enclosure. The mid-range unit, the Vitavox S4 pressure unit, is the ultimate evolution of the famous 'S' type, and is complemented by the TR32B slot dispersive compression tweeter. In addition to the built-in time domain adjustment, in this instance the entire module can also be rotated relative to the cabinet beneath, allowing considerable flexibility in setting the position for true, on-axis listening.
Beautiful. Form follows function...but what a form! The Vitavox TriStar's elegant lines and perfect proportions give a sense of balance and timelessness. The meticulously executed precision engineering of the T3 module forms a stunning counterpoint to the more traditional, artisan crafted cabinets. And the beauty is not just skin deep. Given Vitavox's history, the term 'battleship build' is particularly appropriate here, with our legendary build quality present throughout; from the largest visible panel to the smallest hidden fixing.
Extraordinary performance. And so to the essence of a loudspeaker - how does it sound?
Well, we could waffle on for hours about sound quality - articulate bass this, fluid mid-range that - but in truth it boils down to one simple thing, it's about creating the illusion of the live event. When it comes to this, then, well, even if we do say so ourselves, it's spectacularly, fantastically good. We mean, shivers down the spine good...

Vitavox technology evolved through live performance, whether the intimate surroundings of the small jazz club or the towering PA and backline of stadium rock concerts.
So if anyone can capture that excitement - we can!
Compact. Beautiful. Extraordinary performance.
