Serving as the command center for a high-performance system, the Progression Neo Preamplifier stands as an essential bridge in the listening experience, meticulously engineered to complement the authoritative power of the new Neo series amplifiers.

At its core is a sophisticated input stage utilizing the specialized JFET (Junction Field-Effect Transistor) topology first introduced in our flagship Relentless Preamplifier. Integrating this critical technology into the Progression Neo line offers a level of performance previously reserved exclusively for our top-tier components.

Deploying these specialized transistors at the very beginning of the circuit, where the delicate musical signal is most vulnerable, represents a significant leap forward. The preamplifier achieves an exceptionally low noise floor and a smooth, linear transfer characteristic, ensuring that micro-level musical details are captured without the masking or coloration that can occur in lesser designs. The result is a soundstage that is both vast and intimate, offering an effortless presentation that beautifully mirrors a live performance.

The preamplifier is anchored by an advanced power architecture that provides complete immunity from AC anomalies and external electrical interference. At its heart lies an oversized, custom-designed analog transformer, potted for isolation and strategically positioned to guarantee minimal noise. This enhanced power foundation allows for a significant 66% increase in operating rail voltage compared to previous designs, delivering the headroom necessary for the greatest dynamic swings and most impactful musical transients.

User interaction is elevated through an ergonomic, bi-directional remote control featuring an integrated LCD screen that mirrors information directly from the preamplifier's front panel display. For added convenience, a dedicated iOS app allows for comprehensive control via Bluetooth from a phone or tablet.

To meet the demands of the digital age, the Progression Neo offers an optional Digital Streaming Module (DSM). This module expands connectivity to include optical, RJ45, and Wi-Fi network connections supporting 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet for latency-free, high-resolution playback. Notably, it is the first D’Agostino preamplifier to include an HDMI input with eARC and CEC functionality, seamlessly integrating elite audio into modern home entertainment systems.

PROGRESSION NEO AMPLIFIER HIGHLIGHTS

Both the Progression Neo Monoblock and Progression Neo Stereo Amplifiers are anchored by a massive 1,800 VA custom toroidal transformer and 96,000 microfarads of capacitance. This formidable power reservoir drives any loudspeaker to its absolute fullest potential with effortless authority. The Progression Neo Monoblock delivers
400 watts into 8 Ohms, 800 watts into 4 Ohms, and 1,600 watts into 2 Ohms while the Progression Neo Stereo provides 250 watts into 8 Ohms, 500 watts into 4 Ohms, and 1,000 watts per channel.

The defining technical advancement of the Neo amplifiers is a completely redesigned input stage. It utilizes the same JFET (Junction Field-Effect Transistor) concepts found in our acclaimed Momentum Z Monoblock. By minimizing noise and distortion at the earliest stages of amplification, the Neo Series reveals greater detail, spatial accuracy, and dynamic nuance while maintaining the musicality and effortless power that define D’Agostino products. While traditionally difficult to deploy in a power amplifier, the unique D’Agostino JFET configuration harnesses their exceptionally low noise and smooth, linear transfer characteristics while overcoming the challenging parameters that previously prevented their use. As a result, micro-level musical details pass into the amplification stages entirely intact, free from masking or coloration.

To ensure maximum performance, the amplifiers feature a fully complementary signal path with precision-balanced circuitry. Each input stage is independently regulated, reducing noise and crosstalk while improving overall stability and channel separation.

Beyond raw power, the Progression Neo Amplifiers offer sophisticated system management via an integrated RJ45 Ethernet connection. Through any web browser on a home network, users can access a real-time dashboard to monitor critical operating parameters—including voltages, temperature, bias, and DC offset—while also adjusting front-panel settings for a fully tailored experience.

Visually, the Progression Neo amplifiers continue the distinctive D’Agostino design language with a refined chassis centered around the iconic power meter.
