To further commemorate 30 years of crafting detailed and musical cables, Purist Audio Design is pleased to release the 30th Anniversary Power Cord! We took everything we learned from our stunning 25th Anniversary Power Cord and dialed it up to 11! The 30th Anniversary is comprised of a custom wire bundle with 8 AWG finely stranded SCS (single Crystal Silver) conductors, Contego for improved shielding and dampening, improved AC power conditioning circuitry, and terminated with the Furutech’s NCF (Nano Crystal2 Formula) connectors! This cable is specifically built for the most demanding, most detailed, and most revealing systems.

AC Power Conditioning Circuitry

The circuitry features a custom magnetic control and passive multistage filtering circuits that provides impedance compensation to effectively attenuate and/or block the effects of EMI/RFI noise interference of a broad frequency range of well below 200KHz up to in excess of 1GHz. The circuit is implemented in such a way that it does not break the current carrying conductors anywhere within the bounds of the input and output connectors of the cord. This technique maintains the current capacity of the cord by minimizing overall DC resistivity, minimizes the potential for internal generated thermal noise, and maintains overall dynamics. The circuitry is protected and shielded within an attractive durable extruded aluminum housing integrated to main body of the power cord located near the power entry point. The magnetic control circuit, which utilizes a custom configured ferromagnetic material, provides for common mode noise suppression by dynamically changing the high frequency impedance. Thus, causing high frequency noise to be either absorbed and dissipate as small quantities of heat are reflected back to the source depending on frequency and type of noise. The passive multistage filtering circuit is designed for a wide bandwidth attenuation of high frequency noise. At high frequencies the reactance of the filter approaches zero at various frequency points there by lowering the overall high frequency AC impedance, and thus shunting the presence of any high frequency noise.

The Connectors

AC Power Conditioning Circuitry

Die Schaltung verfügt über eine benutzerdefinierte magnetische Steuerung und passive mehrstufige Filterschaltungen, die eine Impedanzkompensation bieten, um die Auswirkungen von EMI/RFI-Rauschen effektiv abzumildern und/oder zu blockieren. Störungen eines breiten Frequenzbereichs von deutlich unter 200KHz bis über 1 GHz. Die Schaltung ist so implementiert, dass sie die Stromtragleiter nirgendwo innerhalb der Grenzen der Eingangs- und Ausgangsanschlüsse des Kabels bricht. Diese Technik hält die aktuelle Kapazität des Kabels aufrecht, indem die gesamte Gleichstrombeständigkeit minimiert wird, das Potenzial für intern erzeugtes thermisches Rauschen minimiert und die Gesamtdynamik beibehält. Die Schaltung ist in einem attraktiven, dauerhaften extrudierten Aluminiumgehäuse geschützt und abgeschirmt, das in den Hauptkörper des Netzkabels in der Nähe des Stromeintrittspunkts integriert ist. Der magnetische Steuerkreis, der ein kundenspezifisch konfiguriertes ferromagnetisches Material verwendet, sorgt für eine häufige Rauschunterdrückung im Common-Modus, indem die Hochfrequenzimpedanz dynamisch geändert wird. Dadurch werden hochfrequente Geräusche entweder absorbiert und abgeführt, da je nach Frequenz und Art des Rauschens kleine Wärmemengen an die Quelle zurückreflektiert werden. Die passive mehrstufige Filterschaltung ist für eine breite Bandbreitendämpfung von Hochfrequenzrauschen ausgelegt. Bei hohen Frequenzen nähert sich die Reaktion des Filters an verschiedenen Frequenzpunkten dort Null, indem die Gesamthochfrequenz-AC-Impedanz abgesenkt wird und somit das Vorhandensein von Hochfrequenzrauschen geschleift wird.
