The Klimo Merlino Gold Plus is much more than a simple preamplifier: it is one of the symbols of Dusan Klimo's "purist" philosophy.

It is based on a pure Class A tube circuit, with an extremely short signal path.

It does not use global feedback, a technical choice that favors harmonic naturalness and transient speed.

The internal design is extremely tidy, with partial point-to-point wiring and components selected for their musical qualities rather than their cost.

It uses two E88CC / 6922 (ECC88) tubes, renowned for their low noise and extremely high linearity.

It is equipped with RCA inputs and outputs.

Compared to the standard Melino, the Gold Plus designation identifies premium components (higher-quality coupling capacitors and ultra-low-noise resistors) and an enhanced Thor power supply (more stable current management, essential for maintaining a "black" background and allowing micro-details to emerge).

The Klimo Kent Gold Improved are monoblock tube power amplifiers that occupy a place of honor in the Olympus of artisanal high fidelity. They represent the refined evolution of Dusan Klimo's original "Kent" design.

The choice of a monoblock configuration (two separate chassis, one per channel) is not only aesthetic, but also responds to specific technical needs:

Zero Cross-talk: The total physical separation between the channels eliminates any electromagnetic or electrical interference between left and right, ensuring superior image separation.

Dedicated Power Supply: Each channel has its own power transformer and energy reserve, ensuring freer and more effortless dynamics.

The Kent Gold Improved are renowned for their use legendary EL34 tubes (usually two per channel in a push-pull configuration).

They deliver approximately 35-40 watts per channel, which, while they may seem modest compared to solid-state giants, are high-quality "tube watts," capable of driving even demanding loads thanks to exceptional output transformers.

The "Improved" version features critical upgrades over the standard Gold Series:

Output Transformers: In the Improved version, they have been further refined to ensure a more extended frequency response, especially at the frequency extremes.

Selected Components: Power supply capacitors and resistors are chosen with extremely tight tolerances to ensure consistent performance between the two monoblocks.

Optimized Circuitry: More precise management of bias and signal path to further reduce background noise.
