Description Original Description is in English, other language texts are translations and can contain errors. EnglishDeutschSpanishTurkish dCS Rossini Master Clock; in perfect condition, single-owner, includes original packaging and manual; silver finish; 2018 model.

Designed to reduce jitter and precisely coordinate the timing synchronization of the dCS Rossini DAC or Rossini Player.

Architecture and Technology

Dual Quartz Oscillator: Incorporates two separate temperature-controlled oscillators (OCXO). One crystal is dedicated exclusively to the 44.1 kHz frequency family (CD, DSD, 88.2 kHz, 176.4 kHz, 352.8 kHz), while the other handles the 48 kHz family (48, 96, 192, and 384 kHz).

Precision Thermal Control: The circuitry features microcontrollers that maintain the crystals at a constant temperature, eliminating frequency drift caused by ambient temperature fluctuations.

Integrated Auto-Clocking: When connected to the Rossini DAC/Player’s BNC Word Clock inputs, the system automatically switches to the correct synchronization frequency based on the format of the track being played. Specifications and Connectivity

Impact on Sonic Performance

Although the Rossini DAC and Rossini Player already feature an excellent internal clock, adding the external Master Clock yields audible improvements in audio reproduction:

Focus and Dimensionality: Sharper definition of instrument placement and a deeper soundstage.

Low-Frequency Articulation: The bass register gains impact, speed, and naturalness in rhythmic texture.

Reduction of Jitter and Digital Harshness: Makes the sound smoother, more natural, and less fatiguing during long listening sessions, bringing digital performance closer to the continuity of analog.
