The Transparent Cable MM2 (Music Music 2) series speaker cable represents one of the most significant generational leaps in the history of the Maine brand. While the previous series (MM) had set new standards, the MM2 radically refined the technology of the famous "network" (the black modules along the cable).

Here is a detailed description of its technical and sonic characteristics:

"Network" Technology (The Module)

The heart of the MM2 cable is the passive network module:

Noise Suppression: The MM2 network is designed to eliminate radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic noise without affecting the audio signal in the audible range.

Phase Correction: The MM2 series introduced superior precision in phase management. This means that all frequencies arrive at the speakers at the same time, dramatically improving the three-dimensional image.

Construction Features

Conductors: Utilizes ultra-pure OFHC (Oxygen-Free High Conductivity) copper, with a strand geometry designed to minimize skin effect.

Dielectric and Damping: The cable is massive: the internal space is filled with insulating and damping materials that make the cable virtually immune to mechanical vibrations (microphonics).

Connectors: Equipped with gold-plated tellurium copper spades, designed to ensure maximum and consistent contact surface over time.

Sound Signature (The Transparent "Sound")

The transition to MM2 technology has brought three main improvements over previous series:

Infrastructural Silence: The "black" between notes is much deeper. This allows you to perceive micro-details, such as the performer's breathing or the natural decay of notes in an auditorium, which were previously masked by background noise.

Low-Frequency Control: MM2 bass is renowned for being extremely articulate, tight, and never "bloated." By controlling the cable's reactance, the amplifier is able to better "brake" the speaker's woofers.
