The Blak is their flagship amplifier, above the already class-leading Caspian range.The amplification section of the blak has been completely redesigned to give a powerful 140 Watts per channel into 8?. The amplifier handles MM phono and Bluetooth aptX with a built-in USB Type B DAC for connecting a PC or MAC. With XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced inputs supported, this is a very versatile amp, and with the inclusion of a built-in headphone amp and a system remote, you will wonder how you survived before the Blak.The controls and layout of the front panel have been created to be simplistic and minimal whilst giving you great control of the amplifier. For instance, the volume control is combined with a new digital display to give a sleek elegance. The included remote control gives you flexibility and ease with direct input buttons for your amp, DAC or Bluetooth etc.Inputs of the amplifier include phono MM input, with three analogue RCA inputs and an XLR input. Speaker connections line either side and lastly, there is the USB Type B input for connecting to a computer. The headphone socket is on the front with a power switch on the bottom. There is a completely separate dedicated amp for the headphones which powers off everything else when switched on in order to isolate the headphone amp.The advanced DAC supports PCM sample rates up to 192 kHz and also DSD formats for both DSD64/128. This can only be used when a computer is connected via the USB port.
