Produced from around the mid-2000s, it is a compact high-end floorstanding loudspeaker based entirely on driver technology from Thiel & Partner (Accuton). The designation "N" is often used in Europe to denote the version with ceramic membranes, even if Avalon itself does not always list this in the model designation.
