The Nikko Alpha II is a classic stereo power amplifier from the late 1970s, designed for use in demanding hi-fi systems. It belongs to the well-known Alpha series from Nikko and offers an output power of about 2 × 120 W at 8 ohms or 2 × 200 W at 4 ohms. The device is built in conventional Class AB technology and is characterized by a fully discrete transistor circuit with large heat sinks as well as a powerful power supply with a toroidal transformer. The design is symmetrical, which ensures uniform signal processing of both channels.
