Wilson Alexia loudspeakers, first series (2014), in like-new condition (protective film still attached), complete with original packaging and accessories; finished in Obsidian Black.

The Wilson Audio Alexia is an Ultra Hi-End, three-way floorstanding speaker system produced between 2012 and 2017 (first series). It was designed to bring the time-alignment technology and components of the flagship Alexandria XLF model into a more compact enclosure.

Architecture

Three-Module Independent Structure: Each channel consists of three separate, decoupled cabinets (Woofer Module, Midrange Module, and Tweeter Module).

Proprietary Materials:

X-Material: A proprietary composite/phenolic material offering extremely high density and rigidity, as well as resonance-free performance; used for the woofer cabinet and tweeter structure.

S-Material: Developed for the midrange, it optimizes mechanical damping and reduces tonal coloration in the midrange baffle (front panel).

Drivers

Tweeter (1″): Convergent Synergy Tweeter (CST) featuring a treated silk dome. Derived from the Alexandria XLF, it replaces Wilson’s older titanium tweeters, delivering an extended frequency response without listener fatigue.

Midrange (7″): Cellulose fiber and carbon composite cone, mounted in a tuned enclosure with rear-facing laminar vents to preserve dynamics without compression. Woofers (8″ + 10″): Uses two paper-cone woofers of different diameters (an 8-inch unit positioned above a 10-inch unit) in a bass-reflex configuration with a rear-firing aluminum port. The use of two different diameters allows for a smoother transition between the upper bass output and the midrange.

Time Alignment (Aspherical Propagation Delay)

One of the key features of the Alexia Series 1 is its ability to align the timing of the drivers' output based on listening distance and the listener's ear height:

The midrange and tweeter modules can slide forward and backward and tilt along the polar axis using a stepped metal adjustment plate.

This system corrects phase errors in the microsecond range, allowing the three signals (highs, mids, lows) to reach the listener's ear at the exact same instant.
