It is recognized as one of the manufacturer's most versatile and successful tonearms, inheriting the rigidity and engineering of higher-end models (Series IV and Series V) while introducing a detachable headshell.

Construction Features and Technologies

Magnesium Arm-tube and Headshell: The arm-tube is made from a high-rigidity, high-damping magnesium alloy casting. The detachable headshell—also made of cast magnesium—utilizes a precision mechanical locking coupling to minimize loss of rigidity and resonance.

High-Precision Bearings: It employs instrument-grade stainless steel ball bearings for both horizontal and vertical movement, ensuring minimal friction and structural stability.

Tungsten Counterweight: It uses a high-density tungsten counterweight that keeps the mass concentrated close to the pivot, improving tracking on warped records and reducing the moment of inertia.

Internal Wiring: Internally wired with high-purity copper Litz conductors and terminated at the base with a standard 5-pin DIN connector.

Cartridge Compatibility: Its medium effective mass (9.5g) makes it ideal for a wide range of moving coil (MC) and moving magnet (MM) cartridges with medium-low to medium compliance.
